A Low Complexity Adaptive Channel Estimation Scheme for OFDM Systems over Frequency-selective Fading Channels ?

چکیده

Channel estimation is one of the key technologies in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems, which has received more and more consideration. At first, the scheme uses the idea of matrix diagonalization to improve the Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) estimation method, making it to greatly reduce the complexity while maintain the estimate convergence. Then, an adaptive scheme is proposed and simulated by MATLAB over a frequency-selective fading channel. It can select the corresponding method to estimate channel adaptively via a Mean Square Error (MSE) criterion, which shows its high flexibility. The final simulation result shows that using this scheme can further improve the Bit Error Rate and Mean Square Error with low computational complexity, which is promising for practical applications.
